About Us
A hands-on trip through pop culture history
The Brainerd Museum of Pop Culture allows you to get hands on experience with technology throughout the 20th century. You can play games on any of our many gaming consoles. You can relive the days of loading games from floppy disk on the Commodore 64 or any of our other retro computers.
Pop in a video disc and see E.T. the way it was meant to be seen – don't worry we have a large selection of Betamax and VHS tapes as well. We have 8 track players, boomboxes, and record players of all vintages all available for you to use. There are still plenty of comfortable spots to sit and read any of our selection of classical (and some not so classic) literature upstairs.

Very amazing experience! So many gaming systems to see. Its an interactive museum. We were able to play with all the systems. Very nostalgic feeling. There's a lot of vintage record players, phones etc. There is multiple rooms with systems. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

What a cool experience! So fun to see the games from my childhood and share them with my own kids. We spent a long time on the game consoles but my favorite was playing Oregon Trail. Thank you for putting all of this together, I highly recommend it.
